Whose ready for a little healthy eating reset? Sharing 30+ egg free WHOLE30 breakfast recipes with you today to make sure you start your day off right.
Many of you have asked for more egg free recipes, and many of you have sensitivities to eggs. I’ve been noticing that most of the breakfast recipes I’ve share on the blog involve eggs in one form or another.
No worries, I’ve got you covered. Below you’ll find 30+ egg free WHOLE30 breakfast recipes that will guarantee that breakfast (the most important meal of the day IMHO) will be amazing.
Perfect timing because I’m about to hop onto my annual WHOLE30 January. Who’s with me on this?
We are all different, but I have to admit that I feel my best when I get a healthy dose of high quality protein and vegetables in the morning. Common breakfast things like oats, toast, and pancakes often leave me feeling hungry and ungrounded. I tend to eat non-traditional foods in the morning. I usually eat leftover beef or chicken over sauteed greens and sauerkraut. Breakfast soup is one of my favs, especially during the cold winter months.
The main reason to do a WHOLE30 is to create healthy eating habits and to diminish cravings for foods that don’t serve your higher good. You spend a full 30 days filling your plate and belly with nutrient-dense goodness to remind your body what feels good. And it doesn’t just have to be eggs, eggs, and more eggs in the morning. If you’re willing to expand your idea of what breakfast should be, the possibilities are endless.
WHOLE30 Breakfast Tip:
leftovers are everything….. use last night’s dinner to build this morning’s breakfast. I have countless single-sized portions of leftover vegetables and meats in my freezer that I can pop into the toaster oven in the morning. I use these oven safe containers to freeze in. Get used to making more than you will eat in one sitting and freezing the rest for quick and easy meals later. Most soups, stews, and casseroles freeze easily.
focus on vegetables…. getting used to not eating grains and other simple carbohydrate fillers is easier if you fill your plate with loads of colorful vegetables. Get to know vegetables that you don’t usually eat. Get creative.
eat good quality fats… fats help you feel full and satiated, helping keep cravings at bay. Add a bit of healthy fat to each meal. You can see my list of healthy fats HERE.
plan ahead…. fill your fridge and freezer with all the good things you want to eat throughout the week so you don’t find yourself reaching for the cereal and granola when hunger strikes.
be flexible and creative…. changing old habits isn’t easy. Try to be open to new foods and use your imagination when it comes to recipes. Try new things. Honor your feelings when things get tough. And celebrate your success when you rock your WHOLE30 month.
start your day off right…. what you fuel your body with first thing in the morning sets the tone for the day. Be sure to eat a balanced meal of fresh vegetables, good quality protein, and healthy fats to set yourself up for steady blood sugars and sustained energy throughout the day.
Hope you find some good inspiration here. I’ve divided it into categories to make it easier: breakfast hash, breakfast meat, creative combos, breakfast add ons, and my personal favorite: breakfast soups. Big love to you all in the New year!
